Principal's Message

Dear Collier Middle School Community,

We are pleased to welcome you to this new school year. This new beginning is an opportunity for us to set our sights on new goals and highlight our hopes and dreams for the year.

Our entire middle school community is committed to maintaining a positive, safe school environment where students are encouraged to achieve their personal best. Our school-wide positive behavior program is designed to teach our students behaviors that will allow them to be successful at Collier as well as in the future. We seek to “catch our students doing well” and then reinforcing this positive behavior.

In addition to our rigorous academic programs our students are provided opportunities to cultivate their personal interests. Each student selects a preferred activity, which they are allowed to do at the end of the day. These activities include music, art, outdoor adventure, fitness, yoga, crafts, arcade, rabbit care, Star Wars club and movie talk. All of our teachers engage in these out of the classroom activities with our students.

We acknowledge that the work we do is only accomplished in partnership with our parents and guardians and our local sending school districts. We count on hearing from you, our partners, for any concerns or ideas you may have.

We look forward to all that will unfold in the year to come. As always we value and appreciate your partnership in making the year an enriching experience for your child.

Thank you for the trust you place in our program. We are grateful for your support. I look forward to hearing from you.

Warm regards,

Judith Chevalier
