We hope you can come out to Collier High School next Friday, December 13th at 7:00 pm and see our students perform "Moon over Buffalo." This is not to be missed!

Directors Note

It’s 1953. Dwight Eisenhower is President, Perry Como is our reigning Pop Star and George and Charlotte Hay are performing Repertory Theater in Buffalo at the Erlanger Theater.

When Moon over Buffalo premiered at the Martin Beck Theater on October 1, 1995, it marked the return, after a 30-year absence, of Carol Burnett to the Broadway stage. Created by prolific playwright Ken Ludwig (Lend me a Tenor, Crazy for You), this fabulous farce is a valentine to the theater, and to the larger-than-life personalities who inhabit it.

Our rehearsals were full of sweat, work and spectacular joy and laughter. The cast is an amazing group of students. It was a joy to work with them.

So buckle-up, for a bumpy ride of comic farcical fun that will take you back in time where a gallon of gas cost 20 cents, where Frank Capra’s films are still playing at the movies, and George and Charlotte Hay are performing (in repertory), Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac….in Buffalo!
